Use this guide to check myKaarma service status, follow incident updates, protect work in progress, and decide when a local issue still needs support.
Overview
A service incident can affect sign-in, configuration loading, pages or modules, messaging, Notifier updates, or other myKaarma workflows. Start with the public status page so you do not spend time resetting a password or reinstalling the application during a known incident.
Check service status
- Open the myKaarma status page.
- Look for an incident that matches the feature or symptom you are seeing. Check the time of the latest update.
- Follow the incident updates until the status page shows that service is restored.
- To receive future updates, select Subscribe to Updates and choose email or text notifications.
Important: When a matching incident is already posted, use the status page for updates instead of opening duplicate support tickets. Contact Support for an exception that is not covered by the posted incident.
Check whether the issue is local
- Ask whether coworkers at the same location are affected.
- When it is safe to do so, compare the same task in myKaarma Desktop and a web browser.
- Confirm that the computer can reach other internet services used by your dealership.
- Check whether the status page lists an incident for the affected feature.
If only one person, one computer, or one location is affected and there is no matching incident, the problem may be local.
Protect work during an incident
- Follow only the contingency instructions in the incident update or your dealership's approved continuity plan.
- Do not reinstall myKaarma or reset passwords during a confirmed incident unless the incident update specifically directs you to do so.
- Pause an action when you cannot confirm whether it completed. Repeating an uncertain message, appointment, or payment action can create duplicates.
- Record the time, affected workflow, error message, and any action whose result is uncertain.
- Remove customer data from screenshots before sharing them with Support.
After service is restored
- Refresh the browser or close and reopen myKaarma Desktop once.
- Review the work you recorded during the incident.
- Verify the status of each uncertain message, appointment, or payment before retrying it.
- Report only issues that remain after the status page shows the incident as resolved.
When to contact Support
Contact myKaarma Support when:
- No incident on the status page matches the problem.
- Only one user, computer, or location is affected.
- The problem continues after the incident is resolved.
- A payment result, data change, or other transaction remains uncertain.
Include the exact error text, affected feature, device or access method, start time, number of affected users, and a screenshot with customer data removed.
