Most follow-up tasks in myKaarma are created automatically based on rules configured in the system. Common examples include:
Declined Services: Tasks are generated from services declined during the multi-point inspection when a customer visits for service.
OEM Campaigns: Some OEMs, such as Mercedes-Benz, upload service reminders directly into the platform as tasks for your team to act on.
Rules can be customized to fit your dealership’s workflow. For example, you can create a rule that sends a text message automatically if no appointment or work order exists for a customer within a set timeframe. A typical rule might:
Send a text message 3 days after the task is created
Send a follow-up message 5 days later, if no appointment or RO has been scheduled
There is no limit to the number of automated rules you can set up. Use them to send texts or emails automatically, or to create tasks for your staff to follow up with a call or other manual outreach.
Templates for automated texts and emails can be managed in Settings > Follow Up. Service managers can create and customize templates as needed. If assistance is required, they can reach out to our support team for help.
