This article will give you a step by step process on recording a video inspection or walkaround for a customer vehicle.
The Inspect feature is available on both the desktop and mobile versions of myKaarma, but you will record video with the mobile app.
Step 1: Open the myKaarma iOs mobile app. Under the main menu, go to the Inspect tab and select Video Walkaround.
Step 2: Select your name and click Next.
Step 3: Select “Scan VIN” and proceed to scan VIN barcode. Tip: You can choose one of the other available options if VIN is not available, but this may affect the way the video links to the Repair Order.
Step 4: After the VIN/customer data is populated automatically, tap the red Record button (circle) to begin your video inspection.
Step 5: Record the walk-around or technician inspection as needed. When finished, stop recording. The app will automatically upload the video.
Step 6: After upload, the advisor will receive a notification for review. Technicians can also review videos:
- On desktop: go to the Video tab → Technician Inspections.
- On mobile: open the app → Inspect tab → Video Walkaround → Inspections

You can view the recorded inspection in the locations above.
