How to clear your browser cache and perform a hard reload

Many problems on websites can be resolved by clearing out the "cache" of stored information on your computer and refreshing your browser.

Below are instructions for doing a "hard reload" or "clearing the cache for Chrome, and Microsoft Edge.

 

Google Chrome

1. Clearing the Cache:

  • Click the three dots in the upper right corner to open the menu.
  • Go to "More tools" and select "Clear browsing data."
  • Choose the time range (e.g., Last hour, All time) to clear cached images and files.
  • Click "Clear data."

     

     

2. Hard Reload

 

  • Open the website you want to refresh.

  • Press Ctrl + F5 or hold down Ctrl and click the reload button next to the address bar.

Microsoft Edge

1. Clearing the Cache:
